About the project
On February 24, 2022, Russia faithlessly invaded Ukraine. Thousands of civilians were killed. More than a quarter of the population was forced to leave their homes, and about 4 million people moved to EU countries. Mariupol and many other cities of Ukraine are actually destroyed.
The world has not seen such destruction since World War II. Many families were separated due to the military conflict - all men of conscription age remained in Ukraine to defend their homeland.
Many Ukrainians have taken refuge in the EU which coursed new problems such as access to education, health care, and work for their living.
More than 6 million people have become internally displaced. They have faced difficulties in obtaining normal food, health care, and social assistance. The worst situation today is in Mariupol. People are in complete isolation.
The governments of many countries and international organizations express their readiness to help Ukraine rebuild the country and ensure a decent standard of living for our citizens.
